How a solar job works

From survey to handover

Most installers only show you the finished array. Here’s every stage of a job, in order, using our own photos. Swipe to see them all.

01An existing consumer unit with the cover off, checked before an installation is designed.

Survey

We check the roof pitch, direction, shading and structure, and the condition of the consumer unit the system will connect to.

02Galvanised A frame mounts set out across a felt flat roof.

Mounting

Frames and roof hooks go on first. On a flat roof we use ballasted mounts, so nothing is fixed through the waterproofing.

Panels

Laid in rows, clamped down, and cabled back along a route that keeps clear of standing water.
