Electricians first, solar second
We're a team of domestic electricians based in Thanet, led by Dan, working across Kent and East Sussex. We moved into solar because it's electrical work at heart, and we still do everything else.
The business started with domestic electrical work and has grown steadily into renewables. Most weeks are a mix: a rewire or a consumer unit change, a lighting job, a fault to find, a solar installation, an EV charger. The electrical work came first, and it’s the foundation the solar side is built on.
A solar array is a generator wired into your house. Most of the risk in a solar job, and most of the skill, is on the electrical side: the isolation, the protection and the consumer unit it all connects to. Companies that came to solar from roofing or plumbing usually subcontract that part. For us, it’s the trade we started in.

Our registrations
Each of these schemes has a public register. Ask us for our registration numbers and you can check them yourself.
- NICEIC Domestic Installer. The electrical registration scheme the business is registered under, covering domestic installation work.
- MCS certified. The certification scheme for small scale renewable installations in the UK.
- Renewable Energy Consumer Code. A consumer code covering how renewable energy work is sold and installed.
How we work
We look first
Anything bigger than a small job gets looked at before it gets priced. For simple work, photos sent over the phone are fine and save everyone a trip.
A written price
For the work we've discussed, with anything uncertain pointed out rather than hidden in a contingency. If something turns up behind a wall, you hear about it then and there.
The same people
The people who quote the job are the people who turn up to do it. We don't send subcontractors.
Tested, certified, tidy
The work is tested and you get the certificate. We leave the place clean. That's just how a job should be done.
