Privacy
Draft. This page has not been reviewed by a solicitor. It describes what the website actually does, and it should be checked before launch.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. It loads no analytics, no advertising tags and no social media embeds, and the fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party. That is why there is no cookie banner.
The enquiry form
When you send an enquiry, the information you type is used to reply to you and to quote for the work. That means your name, phone number, email address, postcode if you give one, and what you write about the job.
Along with it the form records which page you were on when you sent it, and any campaign information in the web address, such as a code from a QR sticker or a link. That is used to understand which adverts are worth paying for. It does not identify you.
Where it goes
Enquiries are sent to us by email and, if it is switched on, as a notification to a private team channel. The notification is configured to carry the enquiry type and the postcode rather than your contact details.
A copy is also stored in a database so that enquiries can be worked through properly rather than lost in a message thread. It can be read only by us, after signing in. It is held in the United Kingdom and the European Union and is not sold, shared or used for anything other than answering you.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept while there is a live job or a live quote, and for a reasonable period afterwards for warranty and certification purposes. Anything older than a year is deleted. If you would like yours removed sooner, ask and it will be.
Spam protection
To stop automated submissions, the form checks a hidden field and how quickly it was completed, and limits how many enquiries can be sent from one connection. A shortened, one way version of your IP address is used for that limit. The address itself is not stored.
QR codes
A code on the van or on printed material sends you to a page on this site through a short web address. When that happens we record the time, the code, the page you were sent to, the country your connection is in and the kind of device, so we can tell which printed material is worth the cost. A shortened, one way version of your IP address is used to tell repeat scans apart. Your IP address itself is not stored, no cookie is set, and none of it identifies you.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Ring 07922 250 999 and it will be dealt with.
